In most developed democracies, the chairman of the appointments committee of parliament who has been rocked by a bribery scandal will find it unconscionable to chair the committee when his integrity has been impugned by a rumor. The proper thing is for him to recuse himself and allow an investigation into the allegation. It looks like OUR FUTURE IS LOOKING LIKE OUR PAST.

The BNI, the CID and all the various anti-corruption bodies under the security apparatus of state must go to Parliament, to the room where the committee meets and invite the three for investig ...

The BNI, the CID and all the various anti-corruption bodies under the security apparatus of state must go to Parliament, to the room where the committee meets and invite the three for investigations.
This is not going to be an internal matter. The 3 must start reporting to the investigative authorities to assist in investigations and Ghana demands their privileges are waived so they assist in this criminal matter.

As a lay man, may I ask if the reason for giving out the GH3000 to these three individuals were not specified to them by their chief whip until rumours started going round . I have my doubts .

You see ,God works in mysterious ways when you plan evil against someone who has no evil mind about you disgrace is what happens. They thought they could use Muntaka in their evil plot but he has disowned them. It was an orchestrated plot against the NPP and the people of Ghana,ndc thought Muntaka being one of them and young would be part of the plot but his Allah warned him to be out of it hence the true confession of Ayariga lied. Mahama Ayariga is not a true reflection of Islam,he is a disgrace to that noble religion of truth this is not the first time he is lying he has made deceit as part of his life like Ablakwah.i have my doubts if he was born into Islam religion or joined on his own. Peace and the Truth is Islam so whosoever doesn't go by that is not a true muslim. Collins Dauda is a muslim but for him to lie he prefer to keep mute, they behave with maturity and responsibly not the type of Islam Mahama Ayariga calls himself to be. He is a liar and a thief. I agree the matter should not be swept under the carpet because some people's integrity and the Parliament is at stake. When you play with the dog it lick your lip. A big disgrace to that august house by the inclusion of fools by the ndc.

What Haruna needs to tell us is what he knows about the alleged bribery scandal. After all, he as a member of the appointments committee and the minority leader surely would be involved in all the dealings going on between the Committee and the NDC group on the committee. As it stands, one is tempted to conclude that there really was nothing otherwise I am sure Haruna would be cheer leading the charge about the "bribery".
