  Let's call a spade,a spade.I have been very consistent with the argument that the President himself drinks and sleeps corruption.I honestly do not trust politicians when it comes to a principled position in dealing with the corruption menace because they are birds of the same feathers.But the scale of corruption that goes unpunished under the watch of the Mahama Government is unbelievable. Suffice to say politicians generally in Ghana are corrupt without accountability probably because we also have a citizenry that is indifferent and lukewarm when it comes to enforcing accountability and protecting public purse.However,corruption under this government and scandalous illegal escapades by John Mahama in particular is almost to pathological levels.Some of us are tempted to believe the president lust for pilfering and other illigalities is psychological or an in-born inherent trait that is almost impossible to cure.Ghana's headache currently is not a political will to fight corruption but a political leader with serious criminal tendencies who obviously condone and connive in grievous crimes such as mass organized looting and sharing of public purse.The Mahama Government consciously promote corruption with the presidency as the catalyst of artificial creations that serve as conduits for siphoning huge sums of state money. What is even more remarkable about this government is the ruthless manner it suppresses and subdue anti-corruption voices to encourage rot in public institutions. It is not for nothing not a single case of the numerous exposed corruption cases see no investigation initiated not to talk about prosecution.It is either pretence or using somebody not liked as sacrificial lamp.There are numerous cases of serious cases of corruption and illegalities in public institutions in court currently willfully suppressed by the Mahama Government through its pet dog the AG Department. The AG adopt the illigal back door tactics of unduely influencing court staff,lawyers and judges to suppress and kill cases in the interest of government simply to avoid exposure of rot and payment of judgement debt liabilities. Now when you have an executive government wilfully interfering with the rule of law and judicial independence with the sole intent of covering rot,that is a monumental problem bigger than political consideration that allows the president of ambushing and highjacking judgement issued by our high court judges in the most despicable manner.When ordinary and defenseless citizens suffer gross abuse to their rights such as illigal dismissals because of performing a patriotic and rightful duty of voicing out against corruption,then it is a huge affront to democracy,rule of law and civility.It is a shame and a huge indictment to any government who takes up fight on behalf of extremely corrupt public officials through the AG instead of exposing and punishing criminal elements running down institutions.The Mahama Government have no moral justification to talk about fighting corruption when it is quick to persecute public workers through subtle dismissals by deliberate fabrication and blackmail to cover rot.There is no oppression than insecurity brought about by wanton co rruption with impunity with mechanisms deviced by government to suppress discerning voices in an attempt to promote rot in public institutions. It only points to the fact that the corruption network is complex and huge directly involving high profile government functionaries.Key appointments in public institutions informed by nepotism and cronyism without due consideration to merit and competence attest to the deliberate attempt at instituting a criminal syndicate in public institutions to promote the loot and share agenda.
