First and foremost after the Ford story broke he claimed he had done a research but his write up gave him out. Instead of being circumspect he claims any IDIOT can borrow money and build infrastructure. To him the interchange is a useless venture. Seriously?
On top it all he uses Asiedu Nketiah as his reference. So educated as you, Azure, I am very disappointed that you should Asiedu Nketiah into the gutter. Gen Mosquito is a politician. You are a communicator. If you fail to see this difference, I am sorry, but you need more education.
Azure, when your father travelled to work down south, there weren’t more than 3 govt secondary schools in the whole of Upper East Region (1 each in Bawku, Bolga and Navrongo, not counting Notre Dame. The situation wasn’t different in the other two regions, Northern and Upper West. Students did long distances to attend sec school in the big cities. Almost every student was a boarder. For you to reason that the building Community School is the work of an idiot is below the belt. Probably you support Ursula’s “had it not been for Nkrumah’s vision, you and JDM would have been herding cows”.
Azure I have to cut off here and caution that if you wish to succeed in your profession, as you show the potential, do not let your political judgement cloud your sense of judgement unless you want to tell me that you’re sacrificing your profession for politics as you are already showing the drift.

I would like to put it on record that I didn't read this first post. It was written by that bloke without self-esteem bent on using my august names.

I read Manasseh's article after it had gone into the archives and so didn't make any comment, despite my misgivings. As someone who can claim to be an expert on the subject of lending by banks (my MPhil dissertation was on the failure of banks to lend to some sections of the pop. and the rise of micro-credit orgs.), what I read was just hot air, reminiscent of the cheapo journalism awash in the Ghanaian media. Even the pundits at the pito/ogogoro bars do better in their hey days! Really pathetic!

If Manasseh knows what even our local money lenders consider before lending money out, he wouldn't write such hogwash.

I leave Mahama's record for his NDC supporters to defend.

Nana Addo will build factories which would raise income, reduce imports, , increase exports, bring about exchange rate stability and generate income for capital projects. That's when respect is earned. Borrowing to build is something any fool can do

I first had some respect for thisManasseh, but he lost that from me the very day I read this article of his. It really seems that Manasseh is following some agenda. He thought he is fast to give some fanciful praises to the President in his piece of article so that when he (Manasseh)is lambasting him (the President) it will seem to people that he Manaseh is being fair. We can only count one before counting two. Building such modern day-SHS schools is alouble idea - and will partially reduce the urban influx rate when it comes to education. And this Manasseh forget about the quota system be implemented by GES to admit about 30% of the locals? Or he has no knowledge of that? Any "idiot" journalist must be aware of that.
For a fair article, for example in the case of the day-SHS schools, the government needed to be applauded for this and(or whichever government that follows) be urged to provide bording facilities in the future while ensuring that qualified tutors are posted there. But should Manasseh say such a thing? Never, because of the seemingly hidden agenda he sets before himself to discredit President Mahama in one way or the other. And we have such pull-him-down people as journalists in Ghana. How can Ghana develop?

GDP grew continuously to 9.1% in 2008 but now 3.5%. exchange rate was$1= 7000(Gh¢7) in 2000. kuffour left at $1=Gh¢1.2 in 2008. its now $1=4. Mahama is a huge failure. he doesn't deserve my vote.

Azure is no different from the guys attaching him. Both are devoid of anything worthy and sycophants.

Let me explain something: all economic growth is preceded by infrastructural development. It the infrastructure that creates the enabling environment for the private sector to employ the free enterprise ways to take advantage of it.

So JM effort can only be praiseworthy if it can provide this paradigm. To slam it smacks of somehow who is ignorant of the development lifecycles. Ghanaians journalists can never be journalists about because they can journalist abroad. They lack critical thinking

It's true that governance isn't about borrowing money and spending it on cost inflated projects. Any class one kid can even do better. Mahama and his gang of thieves have stolen from the state and we shouldn't be scared to tell it straight to his face. Instead of borrowing to create wealth they've left us with huge debt. This is what manaseh is talking about.
