parents. Boarding schools place a heavy burden on central govt. Mahama's blind march into a building spree is however as ill-conceived and as misguided as you put it. Waiting for the next piece from you!!

The fact is that in Ghana, if someone says "idiot" he or she is not referring to the Latin or Greek meanings but intends it as an insult. And this effectively works as an insult in Ghana mostly because we are a people who attach importance to words we regard as insults. We are a people who take insults seriously and are very offended if someone insults us.

You cannot call a Ghanaian "idiot" and say you're using the word in the Greek sense. He will feel insulted.

Manasseh, you are rather displaying an ignorance of the true situation.

U claim that there is nothing extraordinary about borrowing for projects,and yet u praise prez kuffour for bringing school feeding,forgetting that the school feeding program was solely financed by the dutch government,now that same program is done 100% by the jdm government. 2. U make an analogy of a father who borrows to build a house for his children, only forthe kids to pay later in life,forgetting that there are fathers who borrow and eat the money without doing anything for his children, only for the kids to realise that there are huge debt,and nothing tangible to show for it. Mr Manasseh, can you give us the developmental projects list from independent days in ghana to date, to enable us compare which government has spent our loan monies wisely, again, I would like you manasseh to tell Ghanaians, whether the tetteh quarshie interchange was a good value for money for that project. Ghana's infrastructures need doing, journalist in Ghana should stop doing politics with their profession and help with the country's infrastructural developmental needs. we need to move the country forward, we should praise where praise due. assuming president mahama is doing infrastructure's, what is wrong with what the president is doing. Ghanaian's, we should tell some journalist in Ghana that, enough is enough, we are tied of the deceitful behaviour by some writers, we need to focus and build the nation Mr. Manasseh.

But Manasseh must not forget that, at least President John Dramani Mahama is far better than his father. I can understand he Manasseh does not respect his father and for that matter thinks every man is like His father whom he does not respect. The pay back time is just around the conner for him. the foreign visas he Manasseh have in his passport does not change his colour or citizenship. all the days are numbered and one will certainly be for Manasseh one day.

Awuni, in this present world there is no ciuntry not borrowing to build . if you think like this then you a big FOOL.
The US , UK , France etc Re all borrowing to build, so thinking that an African country borrowing to build dose not make sense is pure foolishness.
We should be bold to attract such loans to build for children unborn to make life a bit easier for them as some have done and we are singing praises for them.
If you don't know i want to point it to you that , the USA , is one of the indebted country in the world. It is a pity ab african educated person does not read but only uses what he or she has in his or head to think the wirld ends with what he or she knows to be .

I read about Prof Ali Mazrui, a prolific writer of African descent. This paradox has never gone away from my mind. If it is really true that rocks found in the middle of the sea do not know and can never know the hotness of the sun, then why do we as Ghanaians continue to wallow in abject poverty?
The stigma of backwardness and primitivity has been implanted not only in the minds of the innocent young and old citizens of this nation but also in the minds of some unscrupulous intellectuals most of whom I describe as ventriloquists .
What a shame for government to celebrate and glorify mediocrity as though Kantanka is of Asian descent

Some business people even go for loan and misused if without putting it into good use
The situation that everybody can do what the government is doing by building infrastructure is totally wrong.
All over the develop world Government borrow to build their infrastructure.
That is the foundation for economic take off
Without the road the hospital etc how do you do business in a country
Investors are only ready to invest in a country where there is good infrastructure.
Country like USA UK France government borrow to build the infrastructure that we see and think they have beautiful cities
