Mr. Debrah is right to warn adults to refrain from drinking them. We must thanks our God that such an honest warning had been made by him.

It is very sad that NPP and their Abayifa Karbo are trying to condemn Debra for speaking the very truth about these dangerous sugar drinks>
NPP for their want of money would want to introduce, manufacture, and/or import very dangerous and unhealthy foods for their fellow Ghanaian citizens to consume and get ill and even kill them pre0maturely.

One driver's mate was demanding the full lorry fare from one woman who boarded his vehicle (trotro) with her little girl... she failed to pay or could not pay the full fare and her little daughter has to offer the fruit juice to the mate as a 'cool-off' for the mate. The mate after collecting the pack fruit finally let them go.

Analyzing the advert…..I can’t think far. I would clearly interpret it as a bribe.

Why should old men like Akufo-Addo at their ripe ages be drinking that?
They are misleading some innocent poor men and women who may not have the money to treat diabetics and its related sicknesses.

With a hind sight, I was thinking the NPP was deceiving the manufacturers with that for sponsorship because they are cash trap.

Leave the Chief of Staff alone… he is giving good advice to our elderly men and women. He is a good patriot, good brother, good father, etc. He cannot see his compatriots to die out of preventable diseases of the sort.

When many of us know that at age 40 and beyond excess sugar is poisonous to your health. What are we talking about?

They cannot sacrifice their health for the sake of politics ….. for Akufo-Addo.

And in any case, the recommendation from Debrah, though possibly meant as a light joke, it would not hurt if people, especially diabetics paid a little attention to it. Cutting back on the sugar and carbs, is recommended for most adults.

While other countries are debating on imposing taxes (termed Sugar Tax) on drinks like Kalyppo, we in Ghana are glorifying these drinks. Increases in the number of diabetic people and heart diseases put enormous strain on our economy. More hospitals, more doctors, more nurses, etc would be needed to cater for these affected patients. You the people complaining now that Julius Debrah is irresponsible will be the same people who will complain of lack of hospitals and facilities, and shortage of nursing personnel. I cannot understand the mentality or the mindset of some of our people for goodness sake. Manufacturers of sugary drinks are NOT the kind of Ghanaian established businesses we need in Ghana.
