We won’t vote for Mahama if … – Volta reside

Kpasa residents, like all other communities in the country, deserve the right to demand the fixing of their deplorable roads. Nevertheless, they must be careful in how they relate to a government that has demonstrated their desire to equitably develop the country.
The road in question has a clear plan within the eastern corridor roads for its construction. The challenge of incompetent contractors is only a temporary one.
What these residents in Volta Region must know is that, there is no viable alternative to the NDC when it comes to infrastructural developments. If they look carefully at the NPP manifesto they will see that it provides no answer to what they are complaining about.
The NPP says, they will reduce or abolish taxes, they will not borrow, they will do free education, pay allowances to teacher and nurse trainees, build one factory for every district, build one dam for every village, give one million dollars to every constituency, etc. If the NPP win and they honour their manifesto, they will be starting from a position of heavy deficit - for lack of funds for development projects will not be their priority. The NPP will therefore surely not be able to continue the eastern corridor roads if, in the unlikely event, they get the nod. When the NPP was in power from 2001 to 2009, the roads Kpassa residents are now complaining about were not their priority. The best bet for residents getting their roads constructed in the Volta Region and elsewhere is President Mahama and the NDC. They are already seriously doing it and if they continue to be in charge, they will surely do it. Ghanains must therefore vote forJM and NDC for a better Ghana.
