    No, your argument is weak. The time for correction should be after closing date. Unless specifically stated that applicants are to make submission earlier and allow some time for feedback before it closes finally.

    The lawyer have to go to a refresher course to upgrade his knowledge.even going for visa if you feel your form wrong they will bans you.

    How can the EC know whether these are sad mistakes or an attempt to forge ? If you make a false statement in court the judge has the right to pardon or punish you. They should take their case to court.
