Nana Addo's posture is dangerous - Kofi Adams

National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has pooh-poohed the Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo on his comment that President Mahama keeps 'stealing' his ideas.

According to Kofi Adams, Nana Akufo-Addo has not come out with any useful ideas worthy of 'stealing' ever since he has been in the political game.

Nana Akufo-Addo has said President John Mahama keeps 'stealing' his ideas, and has, therefore, decided to keep his plans for revitalising the “ailing” National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to himself, until the appropriate time.

“I dare not say them in public, because if I do, tomorrow, Mahama will take them as his own; every time I open my mouth to say something, the next day he parrots it. So, I have to be careful,” the three-time presidential nominee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) said when he spoke at a fundraising event in Hartford.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Kofi Adams chided that every idea Nana Akufo-Addo has ever mentioned in public are either captured in the Constitution of Ghana or are already going on in the country.

“In any case, it is not true that President Mahama is 'stealing' Nana Addo’s ideas. This is because he has no ideas useful for us to work on; whatever he claims to be his ideas are captured in the Constitution or are being implemented by the president already whatever he claims are plagiarism of the highest order,” he chided.

He insisted that Nana Akufo-Addo has nothing to offer Ghanaians in terms of policies; thus Nana Addo’s records show that he does not think of Ghanaians as he is refusing to come out clear on how he is going to implement his one district one factory policy.

He maintained that Nana Akufo-Addo’s posture leading to the 2016 elections is dangerous to the future of the country as he is not prepared to share his ideas with Ghanaians unless he is elected into power.
