  Bawumia has only three or four published papers none of them in a prestigious journal. These were even jointly authored. He also a book chapter.
  
  Most of his papers are internal working papers of the Bank of Ghana which are not peer reviewed.
  
  His career in Ghana was promoted by his political connections. How can somebody with a few years on his PhD overtake more experienced personnel at the bank of Ghana and become deputy governor?
  
  Let's stop this nonsense of thinking the man can solve our economic problems. He doesn't know anything that other Ghanaian economists don't know. Moreover, our problems require more the political willpower, than economic know how, to solve. The best economic policies will be useless without the political will to implement them.

  Should in case all you dimwits in the Diaspora do not care to read the tea on Ghana's economic activity I'm telling you Ghana has no sustainable economic activity; we're a consuming nation and the best we can hope for is become a customer service provider nation if we can get our English fundamentals going. So far your Canada educated Dr. Bawumia is about the fire sale of Ghana to foreign interests. The one thing I have come to notice with Ghanaians here at home and abroad who likes to yap the most on the Internet and at media houses in Ghana is that the classroom educated bunch who obtained post secobdary graduate degrees in liberal arts, law and non applied science discipline talk a whole lot about nothing.
  
  You guys mostly want to manage what has already been built by government or private ownership. Do you slow-in-the-head folks know of any Ghanaian here at home or living outside Ghana who has built privately owned production or manufacturing base plant(s) in Ghana? For as long as most of you choose the easy route to your much touted degrees all we have to look forward to is to continue to sell our mineral and natural resources including human resources on the cheap. In all of Dr. Bawumia speeches he talks about business friendly climate; code words for allowing businesses to do what they want with employees, to the environment and skirt laws of state while they get reduced business taxes from government. These are not new ideas but rehash ideas from every failed economy. Do you morons know why the Chinese and German economies are sustainable but Brazil and others may not? China is business friendly not because of taxes but because of laxed environmental laws and slave labor wages. Brazil has slave labor force from its second class black and mixed race population who provide labor at discount. Ghana must not prosper at the cost to environment or to its citizens/tribes deemed to be second class; Dr. Bawumia solutions are temporary like everything in Ghana there are no sustainable foundations.
