Pele in action today

Three-time Africa footballer of the Ayew Abedi Pele will join some renowned footballer to play in a Green Match friendly game in Morocco today.

Pele who was treated to a surprise birthday party on his arrival to Morocco yesterday will play for “Friends of Mustapha Hadji” who will come up against “friends of Diego Maradona’” in a commemoration match.

The Green March was a strategic mass demonstration in November 1975, coordinated by the Moroccan government, to force Spain to hand over the disputed, autonomous semi-metropolitan province of Spanish Sahara to Morocco.

The former Marseille man is expected to return to Ghana immediately after the game.
