What role would experts play in land acquisitions that land planning and development agents plus surveyors cannot do? We do not have land acquisition problem in Ghana; we have land development problem due to lack of available construction site permit inspectors. The truth to the matter is that if city or local governments had adequately qualified inspectors each land development and construction site could be visited during footing stage, prior to the pouring of footings to check the quality of workmanship and adherence to demarcation and zoning parameters. It is only when land developers adhere to rules would we see neighborhoods come up with needed streets sizes, sidewalks and demarcated alley sizes stay intact. The government of Ghana cannot under existing laws mandate who can sell or buy stool lands or privately held land from rightgul owners so what can a land expect do?
