Reading your piece, I realized that you were trying subtly to blame the demonstrators for the brutalities meted to them by the police. It's a shame. There should be no excuse for the Police to brutalize any Ghanaian who want to exercise his/her constitutional right to demonstrate. We fought for the restoration of democracy so that any Ghanaian who wants to demonstrate on even a useless cause must be allowed to do so without such barbaric acts by the police. In fact this should and must never have happened in this 21st century in the first place and nobody should give any excuse whatsoever for this police brutality. It's really a shame and a sad day for Ghana.

Democracy does not mean lawlessness,it means rule of law and so far as these thugs determine to flout the law a reasonable force will be required to contain them and sometimes people are hurt as a result.
