1. job performance is almost zero as there is not enough time in 24 hours for one person to do both jobs.
2. this calls for greed, because one is paid twice for performing sub par duties. we pay more to get less work done....a lose, lose situation.
3. furthermore, this will resolve some of the unemployment in the country. by relinquishing old job for new and also giving someone else an opportunity. who knows they might be the next Barack. a win, win situation.
few people I learned just on this forum who hold two positions are.
mahama AYARIGA .... the fake Harvard graduate is also a MP for his little village. this man really needs a plastic surgeon to get rid of the tribal mark on his face.
fifi kwartey...a Togolese who chose a fante first name for political reasons...an MP for his little village. and
okukuseku ABLAKWA....the reason why GH is among the last in the world in terms of education...this man does not have enough time to shuffle between both jobs...lack of detailed work done...I know JON QUIXOTE is a dead goat.....so am begging akuffo addo to give thought to these changes for the benefit of my beloved GH!!!...100!

1) Give us vehicles (cars) so we can visit our constituencies and the complicit and willing government agreed to that—BAM, Free car loans for MPs and what happened? Most of them stayed and enjoyed life in Accra and RARELY visited their constituencies with their vehicles; and now

2) Give us offices, furnished with imported Italian and Chinese chairs, desks and other furnishings, so WE CAN BE PRODUCTIVE and do our legislative work effectively. Yea Right, we heard that before, Negro, because it’s a damn con job. Look, Ghana BADLY and URGENTLY “needs real problem solvers” and NOT CLOWNS—see Dumsor?

**CAUTION: They are not going to do any GOOD WORKS to advance the quick development of the economy and the country as a whole. All they want is some plush offices, just to show off in their usual immature, childish and ignorant ways—I've this and I've that in my office or meet me in my office and other silly Mumbo Jumbo!!

Now, the Puzzle: If a minister or deputy LOSES his/her position and s/he goes back to parliament and the replacement is not an MP (to vacate his/her office), then where would that MP's office be—at Korlebu or 37 mortuary?? Next, They would want more money, again, to work effectively!!

NPP MPs should not occupy the offices.. Some of the loans they are shouting are too much went it it. After all, the money didn't.go into the Presidents stomach

The ministers and deputy ministers who are also MPs should have separate offices to avoid commingling functions under one roof. It will also force them to attend to parliamentary duties by showing up in parliament.

Good idea to give less priority to ministers and their deputies who are also MPs.

Since they also have parliamentary duties, provide a limited office space for them. Create a hotdesk office which they can book on demand should they need to temporarily conduct parliamentary business.

The Minster for parliamentary business should be exempted and allocated an office so the they can work closely with parliament.

Consider what will happen to an MP Who loses their ministerial job. Also consider that all of the 45 MPs may lose their ministerial jobs after an election.
Have a governance framework to consider all possible scenarios where a minister without a parliamentary office may need one because of a change in circumstances. Have a governance arrangement in place and don't wait for it to happen and catch you unprepared for the transition.
