  First and foremost, the NDC Government should take responsibility for the ill-thought out Computerised School Selection And Placement System. The Government failed to address the concerns raised by the Ghanaian Catholic Bishops' Conference because of the Government's agenda towards the secularisation of Mission schools. And, of course, the NDC Government's response to the whole issue smacks of political opportunism.
  
  Historically, the Mission schools and the Catholic Education service have fought for, and have been allowed sufficient autonomy and independence in running of their schools and education units so as to ensure and preserve their educational, theological and philosophical ethos.
  
  Most Mission/Catholic schools being state-funded do not effectively mean they're "Nationalised" institutions. Mission/Catholic schools have a religious character and ethos. The Government cannot dilute/dismantle the religiosity and catholicity of those schools just to accommodate Muslim students.
  
  If Muslim students do not want to observe or conform to the religious aspects of the academically successful Mission/Catholic schools, they should leave those schools in "good faith".

In the Hadith, Mishkat ‘ul Masabih, Jihad is said to be: “............the best method of earning (blessings) both spiritual and temporal. If victory is won, there is enormous booty of a country, which cannot be equated to any other source of income. If there is defeat or death, there is everlasting paradise....”
