You are very right , my brother. We thought with Samia coming into the saddle of her father's party all was going to be well, but alas, she played into the hands of those greedy, position-conscious wolves of old guards who only choose to be heard on platforms instead of going to the roots to reorganize. Unfortunately, they succeeded in confusing Samia to condemn and insult the duck that was laying the golden egg in the party before her coming to Ghana, on public radio and TV cameras thus leading to further fragmentation of the party. The Akosas of the party only want positions but do not put their money where their mouths are.Relatively young Kwesi Pratts, and Kweku Baakos choose to do their re-organization on radio and TV stations instead of descending to the grassroots with their vociferous and convincing ideas about why the CPP ought to be repackaged to come back to save Ghana under the pragmatic ideas of the Osagyefo. Sadly, the latter duo are now talking on radio and Tv in defense of NDC and NPP respectively, even more than the originators of those parties.
Samia should go back to apologize to Paa Kwesi and do proper introspection and she would now know who the true followers of her father's principles are.
In the scheme of all these affairs, the least talked about old Dr. Francis Nkrumah and young Dr.Gamel and Sekou Nkrumah, the better. It looks as if they do not share in the ideals of their father's ideas for Ghana, but if they do, I can say for sure that their late father in his grave, would be regretting bringing them forth for being lethargic about what he wished for Ghana.
How can they abandon their own legacy which other Africans and Africans in the diaspora wished to be associated with by right of birth in view of the pragmatism of those ideas and ideals which continue to be relevant in this day and age?
Indeed, Nkrumah was a prophet for he warned us about neo-colonialism immediately after Independence but as matters are today,it is clear we have jettisoned his warning and have played into the gallery of the very people he warned us about!! If this were not so, how could Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana rich in every thing God has created, continue to go begging for everything we have been bestowed with by God and paradoxically year after year continue to go to the people who cannot compare themselves to us by these God-given endowments?
All Ghanaians should be ashamed of ourselves, particularly our leaders.

Strong partisanship started in Ghana when Kwame Nkrumah divided the nation into patriots and traitors. Patriots were those who accepted that he should be president for life, practice communism and one party state, and indulge in Leftist anti-Western propaganda using the small country's meager resources to challenge centuries' old, well-established countries. They even accepted that he should act as a savior of the Blackman around the world, while tyrannizing his own Black people at home because they have alternative views for the development of their country.
Those who wanted him to concentrate on the needs of the young nation and tone down his rhetoric against the powerful were called traitors, reactionaries, and agents of imperialism that should be liquidated and imprisoned dead or alive. Could you believe that the opposition members he was tyrannizing were the very people who started the struggle for our independence? They employed Nkrumah and paid for his ticket from the UK to come and work as General Secretary of the group, saving him from the tyranny of his joblessness in London. The independence struggle Vanguards were senior civil servants in the Gold Coast. And as the struggle was gaining momentum and the scope of their activities were widening, they needed someone to work full time for the group; free from official work constrains to further spread message of the struggle.
Under their responsibility and protection, Nkrumah used the platform to become the public face of the group and his popularity soared. In those days, many perceive him as the person or the only person fighting for our independence and not a spokesperson of the group. Subsequently, when he heard from the Governor General's female secretary, who was later sacked, that the British were preparing to grant us independence, and he increasingly used needless militant tactics to provoke the Whiteman in order to embarrass his bosses and outsmart them. He then used the opportunity to break away from them, forming his own party and slapping them from behind to take power.
This explains the strong partisanship in the country and why Nkrumah didn't want the Liberation Vanguards to ever come to power in his life time. Maybe, he was afraid of his own ghost. And despite all these facts, his supporters still want us to believe that he initiated, spearheaded and single handedly fought for our independence, and therefore name every national project after him as if we were in a kingdom.

That's the senseless, selfish, and hypocritical Ghanaian Politician for you. Our Politicians are megalomaniacal. They always have to claim superiority in their personalities. But that is a big shame because that behavior denies the Country useful expertise that could help build her up in good time.
It is like a CRAB RACE up to the top of bucket. They pull each other down so no one gets to be free to reach the top. That phenomenon is tragically prevalent among the Nkrumahist Politicians. However, all the Parties show signs of it. They all fail to properly groom or nurture replacements for the leaders. So, in the case where the leaders phase out or need to be replaced, no one in particular stands out to merit the particular position that needs be filled. A few mediocre overambitious ones tussle one another to be up there.
Any grooming of leadership replacement must be done with a bunch of youthful enthusiastic selfless members of each Party who show more the desire to serve the People than be served by the People.
Anyone with the tendency to expect adulation or show the slightest tint of arrogance and intolerance, or preference to brute force corner-cutting in doing anything would be a disastrous leader, and would take opposition as literal enemy.
One other reason for that harmful backbiting and mutual derailment is the lure of Wealth that has come to characterize our Politics. The higher your Position, the more you are guaranteed to be the next Millionaire. It is all mostly for Wealth. So, the more educated one considers he or she is, the more deserving the one thinks he or she is to occupy the political position to have access to Wealth. It is not about how better each can serve the masses and the Nation than the other.
Long Live Ghana!!!

The opportunists who want to show that they were more Nkrumahist than others are the cancer that is slowly killing our party. They hide behind this thin veil of Nkrumahism to cause havoc in the party for their selfish ambitions because they can not compete on their own merit. They usually have nothing or little to contribute beyond chanting and reliving the past glories of cpp which have little effect on the voting population of today. They are the laziest people who will not do any field work but want others to work so they can ride on their backs to coverted positions of leadership. CPP is not doomed. If it can gather the courage to eject these party wreckers it has a golden opportunity. CPP must however open up to new people from outside and look to the needs of ghanaians today instead of romanticizing about the past. Even a resurrected Nkrumah cannot win an election for CPP today with the selfish attitudes of so called leading members in the party. The failure of relying on the Nkrumah name is the latest in a series of efforts that do not recognize the truth. It is Nkrumah's uncomprimising committement to modernize Ghana as an example that we need. We must work the rest out for ourselves using our own generation of leaders. Stop looking for an Nkrumah and use any visionary leader you have at hand. It may work out better than you think. Forget about Nkrumah children palying leading roles in the party, it was a waste of time and contradiction for a socialist party to seek to build a dynasty. Finally adopt pragmatic policies that are center left. Build a coalition with all th smaller parties. It can work if you choose a new forthright and determined leader of cpp.Dont focus on the Nkrumah personality it confuses people about what Nkrumahism is, so just call it scientific socialism and drop the Nkrumahism tag. Come out with a new agenda to restore Ghana to its leading role in Africa both socially, economically and politically. Draw from past principles but don't look back look forward. Stop accusing each other over petty things and stop the hyprocrisy of the holier than thou attitude any time it gets near elections. Where have you been all this time. With leading members that behave like migratory birds you can not get any where. The egotism of these leading members must be curbed to stop their divisive tactics. Shame on them, they can't campaign for their party but are always criticising the efforts of those who try to do something for CPP.

To Kofi and Arnold; it seems you guys don’t know the inner facts of what is going on in CPP despite your passion for Nkrumaism to rule Ghana and Africa. If Ghana and to the larger extent Africa are to do well and compete with the rest of the World then we must accept the fact that we have moral deficiency and the “crabs in the bucket” syndrome has been our portion. We need to change. I see Ghana and Africa going nowhere with these inborn traits.
Who tells you Nduom has what it takes to become a leader? Yes Nduom is intelligent and a technocrat BUT he is not a leader. Nduom and Abu Sakara can try as hard as they can but they cannot be effective leaders if they force themselves into leadership positions. I’m not supporting Samia but you have no idea the internal machinations that preceded Nduom’s departure.
Nduom thought he had helped(convinced) bring back Samia to Ghana so he could control her. He first asked her to contest at KEEA (Nduom’s constituency) and the moment Samia refused and instead went to Jomoro (where her dad comes from), Nduom started working against her. Do you know the amount of "dirt" engineered by Nduom and the Ahwoi’s to defeat Samia in the last elections? She had all the evidence to challenge the results but for peace’ sake she did not.
Do you know the schemes that had been hatched by Nduom and left for his boys to perpetrate on Samia? Go ask Devine Nkruman, Ekow, Ackon and those “little boy” who were spewing lies about Samia in the media. That got Samia incensed and led to the use of “nonsense” and by the way “nonsense” is not an insult. Should that prompt a true follower of an ideal (Nkrumaism) leave a party? Hell NO!
He(Nduom) needed a wing to sail on and he used a petty squabble between himself and Samia to flee after he had himself planned and executed that squabble to discredit Samia.
Nduom overreacted and his actions have caused damage to the CPP. Samia doesn't owe Nduom an apology: Nduom should swallow his pride and "come back home" if he is a real CPP man.
You guys don’t know anything about CPP so please don’t write what you don’t know.
Nduom is a good man so are Akosa and Abu Sakara. Samia has the heart but not the intellect of the dad. They can all work together if we place Ghana first, party second and self last. These people should leave their personal egos aside and work together. As for those who are allowing the NDC and NPP to influence them so as to destroy the CPP, we know them all and we shall expose them in due course.
NDC and NPP have collectively destroyed the Nation. The only way to resuscitate the economic and the social fabric of the nation is for all true followers of CPP both in and out to “come back home” and wrestle power from these saboteurs.
God bless our homeland Ghana.
