There is no 'should have'. While some of us may be of the view that Jordan and Adoma should also not have been included, it is too late now. We don't know what the coach was thinking but this is the team he has selected, so let's rally behind them and cheer them on to victory.

I just hope AA can play the right group of players. I am not looking for 'miracles' from AA. I have given up on that. I am only looking for the 'miracles' from our players. However, if we end up with Jordan and Adoma on the field at the same time, not even God will want to come to our rescue then.

i agree with you to some extent that you cant play both essien & muntari at the sametime. but not inviting muntari will certainly cause a big uproar because of the club he has registered for. you see the problem is that over the years we have equated the capabilities of muntari to essien which shouldn't have been the case. muntari in deep midfield waste a lot of balls with those numerous hasty long passes. the way out is for kwesi to send kwadwo to the left full back position, and send muntari to his original left wing and given strict instructions to fall back to defend in midfield & defence and taking responsibility for dead ball situations.

We will not have gone to penalty shootouts with Uruguay if Muntari hadn't scored that long range goal. Since Essien can play defense if push comes to shove, we should be talking about dropping players like Adomah and Jordan to make room for defenders, not Muntari and Essien.

We need both of them; Muntari style of play does not compensate that of Essien and/or vice versa.

I have said that, we need both playing simultaneously so as to fall back to help our weak defense. I don't like AA's strategy of not playing them together; both need to play the full 90 mins unless we are winning by 3 goals against any other team.

Nyansasem, where I tend to disagree with you is playing both Essien and Muntari for the 90 minutes duration. Essien is not a 90 minutes player anymore, injury and old age, though Essien is listed as 31 year old, add five to seven years to that 31.

Essien can give you between 45-60 minutes a game maximum and after that he becomes a liability.

That Tuffour is a joke. He did not tell us why he did not like both Essien and Muntari in the team and he would have failed miserably if that was an Essay for grading.

Karl cannot dictate in soccer because he only analyses soccer but bereft of the technicalities involved in the strategy and formation on the pitch.
Training is involved here and Karl does not have that training.
What Karl is used to is the old system; 442.
Countries are evolving new systems and formation. Did he watch the new formation that the Netherlands is trying? and or the diamond system of the USA?
If he did, he will not be so ignorant, to suggest that Essien and Muntari should have been dropped. For what reasons?

Karl Tuffour, unfortunately should have known better. When it comes to crisi, Essien can take a defender position. After all, his stay at Real Madrid attest to the fact that he was used as a utility player in the defence. Tuffour cannot give any cogent reasons why he thinks Essien or Muntary shd have been dropped. The whole reasoning sounds mishceveous. How can you describe Tuffour as an ace sports writer or reporter. He had access to microphones, and rattled some uncompressive, incoherent brofo to the less educated Ghanaian minds so he feels odey! As a writer, and an astute one he claims, should support what he says with cogent statistics.
