    The writer did his best by bringing this unsightly scenes to our notice. We must determine how to clear the mess and prevent a repetition.

    It will be cheaper to put a wall around these ghettos and let them live in it. Every community should be responsible for cleaning their neighborhood and stop depending on govt. to provide toilets and free garbage pick up.

    Initially, the law made it clear that people's whose houses or shops or landed property abut roads/streets and their gutters were responsible for cleaning them. And people used to do that.
