Gov’t ‘poised to deliver’ in 2014

Government is poised to deliver on the mandate the people of Ghana gave it from next year, one of its officials has hinted.

Speaking on TV3’s Midday Live on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 – the last day of the year – Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations admitted that 2013, which constitute the first substantive year of President John Dramani Mahama, has been tough.

He, however, quickly added that adequate policies were rolled out to make 2014 a smooth-sailing year for all.

Mr Kwakye Ofosu observed that the policies rolled out by government were “aimed at easing the burden off Ghanaians”.

He cited the solution to the energy crises, work on the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, the expansion of the Takoradi Harbour and numerous affordable housing projects as programmes that serve as a harbinger of the good that next year will be imbued with.
