Yaw Siki gingers MUSIGA to work on structures

Upcoming Hiplife artiste Yaw Siki has commended the 2011 Artiste of the year, Sarkodie, saying the latter is a great source of help and motivation to upcoming musicians residing in Tema.

He said the ‘Rapperholic’ man does collaborations with underground artistes and draws them to his tours and other music programs.

The artiste, known in real life as Isaac Okine, made this remark on Focus FM in Kumasi, when he was interviewed by DJ Scientific on Brunch Time.

He was in Kumasi on private business and decided to bless his fans on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) based Focus FM.

The ‘Wo p3 dodo’ hit maker free-styled on several beats and answered intriguing questions about his life and music.

When asked about his music career, he said he does not know where he is going with his music. As far as he is concerned, he just wants to keep going up, with no definite destination in sight.

He complained of inadequate structures in the industry and called on the executives of MUSIGA to put in place measures to ensure musicians in the country enjoy maximum returns on their work.

He believes the music industry in Ghana needs more investors on all fronts.
