Addae Mensah Fires Tony Aidoo

The General Overseer of Gospel-Light International Church, Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah has cautioned Christian political activists in churches who have allowed themselves to be used as the fifth column of Satan’s brigade to mischievously doctor sermons preached by men of God and use them as sound bytes for campaign messages to desist from such evil acts.

The man of God disclosed this while commenting on the unfortunate piecing together of Dr. Mensah Otabil’s sermons by members and sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a grand wicked design to subject the man of God to ridicule and also create disaffection for him.

“Why is that Muslim politicians do not put down their Imams and Clerics in similar manner? The answer is that within the Islamic religion, respect, order and authority prevail and no one can just get up and spite for example the Chief Imam or any Muslim cleric. That will never be tolerated because as spiritual head the Imam is revered and respected by all.”

On the insults hurled at Pastor Mensah Otabil by Dr. Tony Aidoo, Bishop Addae-Mensah said Ghanaians are the best judges of the two personalities.

According to him, Dr. Tony Aidoo, who is supposed to be a role model for others, has rather succeeded in registering his image in the minds of many as someone known only for insulting those who are opposed to his or party’s views.

“Is it not Dr. Tony Aidoo who called and referred to all well-meaning Christians who speak in tongues as demon worshipers? What can the younger generation learn from such a person whose mouth always spews out nothing but insults?” he quizzed.

“By God’s grace, Dr. Mensah Otabil from a humble beginning and without any political power has become one of the most outstanding preachers, motivational speaker, builder of broken lives, and an entrepreneur extraordinary, whose innovations have created thousands of jobs for people including university lecturers and pastors.
