GREDA blames politicians for housing problems

President of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association, GREDA has criticized how politicians in the country are handling the problem of housing deficits.
Executive Secretary of GREDA, Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah in an interaction with Ultimate Radio expressed concern that government keeps sidestepping GREDA in its attempt to tackle the housing challenges the country faces.

He says governments all over the world assist their real Estate Developers and empower them to solve the nation’s housing problems but Ghana keeps seeking help from external sources though it’s been futile so far.

He however rates the New Patriotic Party higher in terms of housing, saying that “at least they have built some affordable houses in some parts of the country but the NDC’s STX and Guma deals have been bridled with corruption….they have not been able to put down one cement block anywhere”.

Meanwhile, GREDA will be holding a housing fair this Saturday and Sunday at the Accra Polo Club Ground near the Shangrila Hotel to showcase to Ghanaians their products as well as bring industry players together deliberate on issues affecting the Real Estate Industry.
