Airtel launches new low-cost services

Ghana mobile operator Airtel has launched a new starter pack including two SIM cards with consecutive numbers. The two-SIM users will have a call rate of GHS0.04 (US$0.03) per minute when they make calls between the twin numbers, two free SMS per day for life, a one-month free trial of data services including push emails, instant messaging and access to social networks. On completion of the trial the customers will be given the option to subscribe for the service at the rate of GHS3 per month for unlimited usage.
