More Ghanaians from Libya return home

Bolgatanga (U/E), April 6, GNA - Mr Mark Woyongo, Upper East Regional Minister, on Wednesday called on Ghanaians from Libya to bring their skills and expertise to bear on the country's developmental agenda.

Mr Woyongo said whilst the government sympathized with them for the ordeal they went through in Libya, they should not brood too much over that but take advantage of the many job opportunities in the country to make life meaningful for themselves.

He gave this advice when he received 66 Ghanaians in Bolgatanga from Libya en-route to their various destination, particularly the Northern, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and the Greater Accra Regions. Mr Abdul Hanan Zubeiru, a representative of the Ghana Embassy in Libya and leader of the group, said the organised trip would end in Kumasi where those continuing to Accra and beyond would be given some financial assistance to get to their destinations.

The returnees thanked the Regional Minister and the Ghana Embassy in Burkina Faso for the immense support given them.

They asked for urgent support and assistance for Ghanaians who are still in Libya and want to come home.
