NDC Will Rule For 16 Years - President Mills

President John Evans Atta Mills went into the spiritual realm to begin his whirlwind tour of the northern half of the country, with the prediction that his National Democratic Congress (NDC) would rule the country uninterrupted for 16 years, before any other party could take over.

According to the President, judging from the good work of his government, Ghanaians would give him another four years after his first tenure of office comes to an end in 2012, and then give the next NDC presidential candidate, who would take over from him, another eight years.

Speaking at Garu in the Garu Tempane District of the Upper East Region, as part of his three day working visit to the area, President Mills said all Ghanaians had seen what his government had been able to achieve within two years, with two more years to end the first term. “You have seen what our government has been able to do within just two years, and we have not finished.

We have two more years to go. And am telling you, after the two years, we will have four more years to go, and another eight years. But, we are not taking you for granted, my brothers and sisters, we know the responsibilities that lie ahead, and I tell you, we shall not fail you,” President Mills asserted.
