Great observations Lawyer. I've always suspected so. NPP MPs are playing a Houdini on us to avoid the minority tag. It's as simple as that.

One should ask Afenyo Markin to tell us what the EC is doing if the speaker is rather setting fire to Ghana.

In 2016 the npp candidate disagreed with the decision of the Supreme Court but accepted it for peace of the country and respect to the Apex Court.
However the npp must accept that they've lost 4 parliamentary mp's. This is not the first time a speaker has declared an mp seat vacant, with only a month to elections if care is not taken, this POWER madness will bring Ghana to a standstill. GHANA FIRST

The Challenge is, The Speaker presides over Parliament not outside parliament. If the NPP side wants to test the Speaker's readiness to reverse his earlier pronouncement based on the court's order, they have to be in the Chamber. So that the speaker addresses the whole house. Not when half is in and half is out. The NPP side know the tricks they are employing .

If the Executive and the Judicial Arms of government are working together to undermine parliament, should not the Speaker say it? Who doesn't know this is what happening? It is the hypocrisy of our legal system that is creating this mess. You are the government in power, you asked parliament to reconvene and it did , the other side (NDC) had taken your seats(ok), do you fight for your seat while you are inside parliament or you fight for the seat when you are outside parliament? Come into the chamber and see the reaction of the Speaker. You can't stand outside and be ranting expecting the people to sympathize with you.

This is alert to those who train and licence people who practice law in Ghana. Some people have low IQ but are legal practioneers. Eiiiiiiii the confused Arts class of the school called Ghana, where the speaker of parliament competes with Supreme Court on which institution is mandated to interpret the constitutional provision. It is unimaginable that ICAG and IASB will disagree on the meaning and the interpretation and application of an accounting standard. Confused Arts class please learn to be decent.

If not the good people of Ghn would have to decide on 7 January 2025. Just two months away. The ball is in their court. Alternatively they have to force the NPP MP with violence. In any case there has never been a majority in this parliament. 137 to 137.

I think the NPP MPs stop this press conferences and enter the floor of Parliament to argue their case . It is there Ghanaians will really know whether the Speaker has disobeyed the SC directives or not.
