The NDC says no, give us what you've already corrected and let's verify it. The EC says come to the discussion table and we will go through with you and show you the corrections. NDC says we won't come because we have identified about 300,000 more infractions in the provisional register. We won't provide you with the evidence but we won't you to allow for a forensic audit of the register and your systems. If I may ask, those supporting the ND's call for a forensic audit, what's their basis? Have they seen the evidence of the NDC's findings to justify such a call? I will support the audit to the extent that the NDC provides credible evidence of their findings. Until then, their case is not convincing enough.

The NPP underestimated the NDC’s capacity to uncover the manipulation of the Voters’ Register in their favor which is why they are uncomfortable with the demands of the NDC. The NPP was boasting a few months ago that they were going to win the presidential and parliamentary elections by strategy. It’s therefore logical to ask whether this is what they meant and believed the NDC will not uncover this evil scheme like they did in the 2020 elections where the EC struggled to reconcile it's figures because their database had been manipulated?
I strongly believe that when a forensic audit of the EC’s IT system is conducted, the footprints of some of the commissioners or external users from the NPP would be uncovered and could be linked to the unauthorized transfers hence their reluctance to accede to NDC’s request. There are potential grave consequences for violating the IT security protocols so they’re fighting to prevent any independent audit of their system.
It’s a criminal conduct to grant an unauthorized person access to the EC’s database or if the prescribed protocols to access the database are not complied with. This is akin to someone illegally accessing the vaults of the Central Bank and the Governor, his deputies and security team feign ignorance or connivance in such a criminal act.
They must be compelled to allow a forensic audit of the electoral roll prior to the elections.

This is just a spurious scheme to ensure that the party survives even if it loses the election. All this exercise is for the rejuvenation and sustenance of its support base which has been dwindling over the years. That was the purpose of the 2021 election petition. It’s an unfortunate situation where the party’s survival has taken precedence over that of the country as a whole. Those in charge of security in this country have to be ready to counter all snippets of lawlessness whatever the source. This challenge is real and must be resisted with all the force available to the State. The situation cannot be more serious.

Failure to do that, the international communities and the world organisations wouldn't know, all the EC is doing, and refusing to do the needful, it's because they want to rig the election for the Npp. I have said it one or twice before, " Ghana can experience a Civil war by the conduct of the current EC, who is Hell burnt to forcibly install Bawumiah on the neck of Ghanaians. A vice president, who together with his boss Akuffo Addo have destroyed the very image of Ghana. No reasonable person with good conscious mind for Ghana, would sit for this to take place. HELL NO.!!

The EC is managing the data for the people so they should not have problems giving out information to the stakeholders. They want the NDC to give out the data for them to quickly reconcile with the abnormalities in secrecy. These devils at the EC will soon taste the devil’s power and they will be paid in full for this mess. The EC should allow both parties IT gurus to sit with the EC to do a thorough audit of the register and stop this nonsense.
