Governments, past and present have treated those of us who live along the Pokuase-Katapor road with disdain and contempt. It as if we are not part of Ghana. Or is it that we have done something so grave that we are being punished for it? We continue to be covered in dust poured out by hundreds of huge tipper trucks which carry sand and gravel from hills in the area to construct roads for other neigbourhoods and the main Achimota-Nsawam road. What kind of wickedness is this? A few years ago when residents of the area embarked on a peaceful demonstration to draw government's attention to our plight, the police in full combat gear were dispatched to our neighbourghood to brutalize the youth. many of them well hurled into jail like common criminals. Some of us are going to ensure that people in the area refuse to vote come December 2024. We deserve better!!!
