  Bole has been a very peaceful town over the years. Gonjas have coexistence with various ethnic groups (Brifor, Dagaati, Yoruba, Fulbe, Moshi etc) without any problems. Of late, the quest for instant wealth seems to be taking precedence over other activities. The Kui galamsey activities have also attracted foreigners from Mali, Burkina Faso, La Cote d'Ivoire etc who mostly reside in Bole. With this social makeup, such anti-sicial activities will not be far-fetched. The confusing situation is that similar killings are taking place in Wa. Hmmmm

  Bole has been a very peaceful town over the years. Gonjas have coexistence with various ethnic groups (Birifor, Dagaati, Yoruba, Fulbe, Moshi etc) without any problems. Of late, the quest for instant wealth seems to be taking precedence over other activities. The confusing situation is that similar killings are taking place in Wa. Whatever it might be, I will plead with the peace-loving Gonjas not to whip up any negative ethnocentric sentiments by blindly targeting all "new" immigrants to the lovely town. Innocent people could be affected. Let's leave it to Commnder Dampare and his boys. They have handled even more complex cases than these.

This is purely a criminal case, mostly probably related to the ongoing galamsy activities in the distrust. I pray that the various ethnic groups will remain calm and allow the security to dig into this. I also urge the security services to up their game.
