Owusu Adjapong's Christmas message

PRESS RELEASE: CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM HON. FELIX K. OWUSU-ADJAPONG
Fellow Ghanaians, friends, supporters and sympathizers of the great elephant fraternity, Christmas and the yuletide is here with us again, a period where an opportunity prevails itself for us to look back , take a sober reflection of the past year so we could correct all our wrongs with the view of planning effectively for the unseen future.
The birth of Christ, which is a symbolism of peace unity and freedom, is a period where even sworn enemies put behind them nagging issues and forge ahead for the common course of bringing unity, peace and tranquility to the world we live in. It is a period in the world calendar where absolute and autumn freedom is brought to mankind; a period where heartfelt expression of love is extended to one another for the world to be a safe haven for mankind.
The question that one asks is; can the present economic situation support this celebration? It is obvious that the first year reign of the Professor Mills led NDC government is a disaster, a sour taste for all Ghanaians including hard core party faithful of the NDC.
Disenchantment and despondency is the grimace on the faces of all Ghanaians. A period where one could wake up and smile because of the hope that greets him early morning is now over. The period that one could get up and walk with his chest out because of the aura of confidence is now in oblivion. Ghanaians no longer feel secured again; we are now in the world they say each one for him or herself, God for us all. Ghana now is on the brink of sharp division, a situation that is led by a government whose bosom the good people of Ghana have invested their destinies in.
Fellow Ghanaians, I know that times are hard, the future looks very bleak, but there is still hope for the future. I urge you to use this yuletide to take a sober reflection of the past while you plan strategically for tomorrow. Your passionate involvement in the current ongoing restructuring is process of the New Patriotic Party is commendable, I will urge you to continue to fight to your bone marrow to reverse the perceived disunity of the New Patriotic Party. Ghanaians will not forgive us if we fail to unite and present our self a formidable force ready to recapture power, come 2012. Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
Signed
FELIX K. OWUSU-ADJAPONG (Former majority Leader in Parliament and an Aspiring NPP National Chairman)
