The 3rd option:

We can raise the money($4billion) from China with partnership with CNOOC to buy out Kosmos. Kosmos is a small oil player which just wants out to satisfy the demands of its hedge funds financiers, (Blackstone and Walzburg).

That done Ghana as a country can use the GNPC-GNOOC stake as collateral for a Chinese government loan ranging from $8 - 16 billion for infrastructure development of the country. Most of the contractors for these infrastructure development projects would naturally be Chinese contractors.

This would be a win - win project finacing deal for both Ghana and China. Let us all remember that Exxon-Mobil is not in the business of assisting developing countries to develop!!!

I hope the Minister of Energy and the Chairman of GNPC are reading these postings!!!
