A young man narrowly escaped the wrath of an angry mob during the busy afternoon hours on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange in Accra.
According to a video post shared by SikaOfficial on October 14, 2025, the unidentified young man was spotted holding a newborn baby.
The incident drew a large crowd, with onlookers expressing suspicion and concern over the man’s actions.

He reportedly told bystanders that the child was his niece and that he was helping to care for it while the mother attended to an errand.
“The baby is my niece and I'm helping to take care of it while the mother attends to an errand,” the report said.
Despite his explanation, many members of the public appeared unconvinced, fearing the situation could be a possible case of child abduction.
Their agitation, the post added, quickly escalated, with some shouting and demanding that he be handed over the baby to the police for verification.
The young man was eventually escorted by some concerned individuals and onlookers to the nearest police station for further questioning.

As of now, the police have not issued an official statement regarding the circumstances of the incident.
However, authorities are expected to investigate the matter to determine the relationship between the young man and the newborn, as well as to ensure the child’s safety.
