Why does God hate pride and arrogance?

Will you desire to fellowship with an Arrogant and proud person? Most people will not.

God Himself says He hates an arrogant and boastful person. Arrogance is a great Sin in the same category as murder, sexual immorality and lying. Arrogance is the practical expression of pride which develops in a person and make him or her think he is better than others.

The feeling of self importance is expressed in their actions and speech with words like "I have done this", " I will deal with him", "who does he think he is" and so forth.

In the Bible, the Lord said "Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord be assured he will not go unpunished". (Proverbs 16:5). There are two types of Arrogance: 1. Arrogance against Allah. Those who deny the existence of God, those who worship idols, those who belie the signs of Allah or disobey His commands are Arrogant.

Willful disobedience of God's commands constitute insolence to Allah and Sins so committed are unforgivable. The Lord says Thou shalt not steal or commit murder and you choose to steal or commit murder you commit the sin of arrogance.
