The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jr., has eulogised the late former High Commissioner to India, Sam Pee Yalley, following news of his sudden demise.
The veteran journalist shared an emotional message on his X account on April 8, 2025, expressing the deep void Yalley’s passing has left in his life.
“I was informed of the passing of Commissioner Sam Pee Yalley at about 2:00 a.m. yesterday and felt a great sense of loss,” he said.
He described the late Yalley as a close compatriot who provided remarkable insight on numerous Pan African TV programmes.
“He was a regular panelist on many programs of Pan African TV, especially the Good Morning Africa Show and Alhaji and Alhaji,” he said.
Kwesi Pratt highlighted the virtues of the late diplomat, praising his unwavering advocacy for the ideologies of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“He was always outspoken and presented himself as a loyalist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and an Nkrumaist advocate,” a portion of the post read.
Kwesi Pratt further emphasised Sam Pee Yalley’s impact on his personal and professional life, vowing to uphold the values he represented.
“We will miss him a lot, and his actions and words will continue to inspire us!” he added.
