We should’ve beaten Bournemouth - Jordan Ayew

Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew believes his side deserved a win in their weekend Premier League game at home to Bournemouth.

The 25- year old Ghana international played 84 minutes before making way for Tammy Abraham in what was a very frustrating afternoon for the Swans.

The draw however ended Swansea’s run of four straight losses and Ayew reckons the team can build on the result.

“We feel we should have three points, but at least we have one and we didn’t lose the game. We tried our best to win but when things are not going your way, it sometimes doesn’t happen.”

“We played some good football and that is something we can build on,” he said.

Ayew also described their performance as their best so far this season.

“I think it was our best performance of the season. The gaffer said that. We have set the standard now. We have to stay at this level and not drop below it.”

The Ghana international has been in fine form for the Welsh club this season contributing a goal and two assists in thirteen appearances.

Swansea are currently in a relegation battle and find themselves in 19th place on the league table.
