Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Yolanda Cuba has urged Ghanaians to embrace digital technology as that is the way the country can achieve President Akufo-Addo’s vision for the nation.

Speaking at Today Newspaper’s 4th Annual Lecture on the topic ‘How digital finance could boost growth in emerging economies’, Ms Cuba advised business owners to make technology an integral part of their businesses as their companies stand the risk of collapsing if they don’t.

She said technology is not just about changing something that one used to do manually.

“The most value that people actually get from using technology is not just from operation efficiency but it’s from customer experience. When you transform your customer experience into a digital realm you actually get somewhere in the region of 44 to 55% kind of improvement in your numbers”.

She added that the level of digitization through technology in today’s world is so rapid that the life span of any product is between 2 and 12 months which means that “as soon as a new innovation comes into the scene, another one replaces it in the flicker of a second rendering any great innovation outdated”.

She said Vodafone is focused on igniting the digital revolution in Ghana to ensure business growth, attract new customers and develop new products.
