Fifi Fiavi Kwetey a Ghanaian politician and Member of Parliament for the Ketu South constituency has shown a high level of disappointment in the current government, led by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) about the level of hypocrisy exhibited by them.

Mr. Kwetey said he feels sad for Ghana as a country and for the police service because they have become a pawn in the hands of a government that is desperate to do anything to retain power.

In an interview on Joy news, Mr. Kwetey said;
‘’ I feel sad for us as a country and I also feel sad for the police service because they have become a pawn in the hands of a desperate government”

According to him, much as a lot of people are unhappy with the arrest of Ofosu Ampofo, he takes it with a lot of ease because he has always known the NPP to be a government that has taken hypocrisy to the highest possible level. Moreso because this is a government who did far worse things while in opposition but now has the audacity to do what they are doing.
"For me it simply just shows they don’t see foul in what they are doing", he said.

"We heard Sammy Awuku make some noise that they were ready to actually bring target judges for eliminations which were caught on tape but nothing has been done to him" he added.

The Member of Parliament further noted that the NPP government did similar things from 2001 to 2008 when they thought they will never leave power.
“NDC as a party will cease to exist thinking somehow, they were immortal that were going to remain in power and maximum 8 years they were gone. This time, I can bet you, they are going sooner’’ he lamented.

He advised that we should rise above this kind of attitude and start on a path of proper growth not in a situation where a party is so desperate for power and ready to do anything and seek to find all kinds of justifications for it.
