The Day That Kumawu Sunk!

Today, Thursday 30 October 2014, the history of Kumawuman, has been re-written. Things will never be the same again in Kumawu. The forces of evil have conquered the forces of truth to tell the story of Kumawuman differently.

The Great King, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, with the help of his buddy, President John Dramani Mahama, has walked over the history of Kumawu to implement his own beliefs, thereby compelling Kumawuman to live by views and wishes.

As I write, there are tens of hundreds of police men, soldiers and macho men in Kumawu to assist with the enthronement of one Dr Yaw Sarfo, as Kumawuhene. He is being installed the Kumawuhene as I speak. For what President Mahama and Asantehene will get, they have walked over the laws of the land, both traditional and statutory, to do as they want.

According to Asantehene, he can do whatever he wants in Ghana. He said this to the elders of Kumawuman recently when he summoned them to his Manhyia Palace less than a week ago. He subsequently issued them an ultimatum to install one Dr Yaw Sarfo as Kumawuhene in utter disregard of pending court injunctions to the stay any such enthronement until decided by the court.

Should our journey to unearth and to tell the truth stop here with the forced enthronement spearheaded by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II? He did it to Nana Akufo Addo by influencing some Supreme Court judges to deny him the favourable verdict. He has done it again in the Kumawu stool dispute.

For how long will both God and Ghanaians allow him to commit such crimes with impunity? Has God once again been proved a liar by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II? This question is not within, but beyond, my remit, to answer.

Kumawu has gone silent. Will it ever regain her nobility? Everything is possible. He can stifle Kumawuman and her inhabitants as much as he can, but God will provide a way out in due course.

It is not over, until it’s over!
