A Ghanaian teacher, known for his advocacy on road safety, has reportedly died in a tragic car crash.
According to reports, the teacher, identified as Collins Osei Boateng, was killed on August 3, 2025, though details surrounding his death remain scanty.
Prior to his reported death, Osei Boateng made a post advocating road safety, which is believed to have been his last before the tragedy.
On August 2, 2025, he took to his Facebook page to express deep concern over the rampant and increasing road carnages being recorded across the country.
He called on the authorities to intensify road safety campaigns aimed at educating and sensitising the public about road crashes and their effects.
“I think authorities are sleeping when it comes to road accidents, the number of accidents we are experiencing is quite high. By now a comprehensive report should have been made on the efforts and progress being made.
“We can't continue losing precious human life in the manner that is happening. The campaign against road accidents must be intensified,” his post read.
However, a day after this post, he, reportedly, was killed in a road crash.
The news has left many of his followers in shock, with some struggling to come to terms with how something the deceased passionately advocated for could ultimately lead to his own death.
His comments section has since been flooded with messages of condolences, as loved ones and well-wishers commiserate with his bereaved family.
