Member of Parliament for Bekwai in the Ashanti Region has complained about the Hang Parliament and its intricacies.
He is of the school of thought that it hasn’t helped Ghana in any way.
Joe Wise who was speaking on Kumasi-based Pure FM indicated that the slow pace at government business is owed to the stiffer opposition in Parliament.
“It is true and at the same time very worrying and it has adversely affected the work of government. It has affected the cedi. Bodies that control the strength of the economy hinges on the laws governing the money and because of this they have downgraded Ghana.
Whatever happens in Parliament has a rippling effect on every Ghanaian’s pocket. Some people thin we joke in Parliament but the world is watching us so if what we are doing is going as expected.
it has an effect on the economy but the various bodies have noted that we can’t even agree in Parliament over our economy so they have lost trust in Ghana’s economy and that has affected the strength of the currency in the country”.
