Stop talking to the media - Judge warns Afia Schwarnegger and Abrokwah

Mrs. Jane Harriet Akweley Quay, a trial judge at Accra Circuit Court has warned Comedienne and Television Afia Schwarznegger and ex-husband Lawrence Abrokwah to desist from talking to their media about their marriage blues until a final determination of the case pending before the court.

Both on Monday appeared before the court after police prosecutors charged Abrokwah on five counts of domestic violence with emotional, verbal and psychological abuse, publication of obscene material, assault and threat of harm.

Counsel for the accused, Maurice Ampaw prayed the court to grant his client bail indicating that he will not abscond expressing his readiness to abide by directives of the court.

The trial judge obliged to the request and granted him bail in the sum of GH¢20,000 with three sureties.

Abrokwah is facing five charges including domestic violence with emotional, verbal and psychological abuse,.

The case has been adjourned to October 11, 2017.
