Show NDC red card- Akufo-Addo urges voters

Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo is asking Ghanaian voters to show the ruling NDC the red card come Friday when they go to the poll.

He said the NDC has failed Ghanaians and the voters must show the ruling party the exit.

He was addressing thousands of supporters in his home region, the Eastern regional capital, Koforidua.

According to Nana Akufo-Addo the NDC won power based on false promises they made to Ghanaians.

He said the ruling party has failed to deliver on many of the promises it made, including reducing fuel prices and introducing a one-time premium for the National Health Insurance Scheme.

He told the supporters the NDC's Better Ghana Agenda has flopped.

He highlighted the campaign promises made by the NPP under President Kufuor which they delivered, including the introduction of the NHIS, free basic school education and the metro mass transit service.

He accused the NDC of engaging in vote buying, citing the distribution of cars, monies and other gifts to voters.

He asked the voters in the Eastern region to increase the NPP's 57 per cent it got in the region four years ago, to guarantee a first round victory.
