Rev. Owusu Bempah denies kidnapping comment

Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah has denied comments he reportedly made about the three girls kidnapped in Takoradi.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show Wednesday, Rev Bempah stated that his comments were misunderstood and misrepresented.

“Who said I know where the girls are and where did I say that, why won’t people inquire of issues or confirm what they hear?” he quizzed.

“I only said I respect Nana Addo so he is the only one I will listen to if he asks me to pray or do something about the girls and so if not him, nobody can call me or ask me to pray about the missing girls because Ghanaians don’t have respect for prophets so when we comment on issues, people insult us,” he said.

Rev. Bempah during interviews on Accra-based radio stations, Neat FM and Okay FM reportedly claimed to know where the girls have been kept and stated that only President Nana Akufo-Addo could force him to disclose the location.

“I know the whereabouts of the girls. If you dare me, just allow the President to call on me and ask me about their whereabouts and I will gladly tell him,” he is reported to have said.
