RE: Respect Party Structures – Ex-NPP MMDCEs to Afoko??

Our attention has been drawn to a statement making rounds in the media and published in today's edition of the New Statesman newspaper that sought to suggest that all former MMDCEs in the three Northern Region have asked Paul Afoko to respect the party decision.

We wish to disassociate ourselves from such statement and state on record that there has not been any such meeting to arrive at such an unpopular decision.

Mr. Paul Afoko's contribution to the NPP in the three Northern Region is evident and we believe the decision of the party will largely affect our fortunes in the upcoming elections.

Mr. Afoko has supported constituencies with cash and logistics and we wish to call on the leadership to as a matter of urgency, meet to resolve the current impasse as the effect of it if not resolved may cause the party in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

We are committed to restoring peace in NPP and we believe issuing statements that has a tendency to further deepen our woes is not an option.

We need everyone on board to win election 2016

Signed:

Former MMDCEs in the Upper East Region
