A group, known as Victims of Unconsented Deductions, has served a warning notice to the Ghana Registered Nursing Midwifery Association and Axis Pensions to pay monies due to them within five working days or face the wrath of members.

According to the group, GRNMA has failed to pay some monies due to them after they had exited the association.

"For about sixty years (60 years), the GRNMA was the sole union for Nurses and Midwives in the country. Over this period, members contributed 2% of their salary, GHS20.00 as building levy and GHS50.00 as Nurses fund which is managed by Axis Pensions. The understanding is that all contributors will be given their money upon retirement or exit from the union."

This was contained in a press release signed by Samuel Piue Lasir, the convener for the group and copied to GhanaWeb.

However, they claim, that after several months of exiting the association, some members are yet to receive their Nurse's fund deductions from the union.

The group has therefore given the GRNMA a 5 working days ultimatum to pay back their monies or face their wrath.
