Nkoranza South electorate urged to vote for NPP parliamentary

Nkoranza (B/A), Nov. 27, GNA - The electorate of Nkoranza South Constituency have been urged to vote for Mr. Kwame Amporfo-Twumasi, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the constituency. Mr. Thomas Adu-Appiah, head of the NPP Nkoranza South Constituency Electioneering Campaign Team, who made the appeal, said the candidate was a credible person who could move the area forward. Mr. Adu-Appiah was speaking at the inauguration of the One Touch for Nana Akufo-Addo Association, formed by the youth in the constituency, at Nkoranza.

He said Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi, who is the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, and Deputy Minister of Energy, had gained enough experience as he had served four years in Parliament "and there is nothing new to him with regard to parliamentary proceedings". Mr. Adjei Yeboah, former Presiding Member of Nkoranza District Assembly and member of the Campaign team, said Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi ensured the construction of school blocks urged the people vote for him on December 7.

Mr. Adjei Yeboah said the MP had supported about 2,000 people in the constituency to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme and provided scholarship awards for students in the area. Mr. Noel Nortey, President of the Association, said the group would organise the people to vote for the NPP on December 7. Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi advised the youth of the party to be disciplined and to guard against negative practices that could affect the successful conduct of the elections.

He commended members of the association for seeking to assist the party to enable it to win the elections. Mr. James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza South District Chief Executive, commended the youth for their support for the party.
