The baby who could not survive was said to have been wrapped in a black polythene bag, placed in a brown paper box and dumped into the pit.

Though some residents are blaming prostitutes in the area, some have also vowed to unmask the wicked mother and hand her over to the police.

In a related development, another new born baby has been dumped into a public toilet Tuesday dawn at Adrobaa in the Tano North District of the Brong Ahafo Region.

An eyewitness Kenneth Owusu who was at the scene told Adom New,s a resident who was on his way to the place sighted the baby.

He said the rescuer heard some strange noise coming from the toilet and thought it might be a stray goat that might have fallen into it.

But the noise, he added sounded more like a human being than an animal so he immediately sought the assistance of those around to remove the baby from the decked pit.

The baby who was gasping for breath, was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
