NFL star Ezekiel Ansah's football camp attracts huge crowd

On Saturday, NFL star Ezekiel Ansah, who plays for Detriot Lions, hosted the second edition of his football camp at his alma mater Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, and the turnout was amazing.

Over 500 students from second cycle schools attended the camp. The students were taken through the various techniques and skills used in playing American football.

''It [the massive turnout] tells me that I have a lot of support in Ghana, which is great. The kids here are passionate about the sport, passionate about being great and I'm happy to be here with them,'' the 29-year-old told the media.

''My mission is to inspire the kids. This is one thing that I have really been passionate about. Growing up I never had anybody coming down [to Ghana] to do a football camp for me.''

''But it's something I learnt in the states. NFL stars hold football camps during the summer and I was thinking it would be best to come to Ghana and do it too. It has been great so far. I am looking forward to extending the camp to other regions in the coming years.''

The aim of the camp is to introduce a set of skills often thought in the sports of American football while promoting the importance of physical education, teamwork and demonstrating the discipline to work hard towards one's goals.
