NDC will surely win Talensi seat – Former NDC MP

Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Talensi John Tia has told Citi News his party stands a better chance of winning the elections tomorrow due to the absence of internal party squabbles.

The party lost the seat for the first time in 2012 to the NPP following internal wrangling after the incumbent MP John Tia was defeated in the primaries.

But the seat became vacant after the incumbent NPP MP, Robert Mosore resigned to take up the position of a paramount chief in Tongo.

Speaking to Citi News, the former MP who is part of the NDC campaign team in Talensi said all indications suggest victory for the governing party.

“Talensi has always stood for the NDC. It was only in the last election that NPP won but for the presidential, the NDC has always won. In this particular case, which is a test case for 2016, the Talensi’s are aware and they will surely vote for the party they have been voting for,” he remarked.

He added that “this is an opportunity for the NDC to regain its seat.”
