The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sent a follow-up letter to the Electoral Commission, requesting a response to their September 17, 2024, petition, which called for a forensic audit of the 2024 voters’ register and the EC’s IT system.
A statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, said, “The follow-up letter has become necessary due to the fact that the commission has not had the courtesy to reply to our petition to date.”
The statement added that the Electoral Commission has not officially responded to the serious issues raised in the petition.
They have therefore reminded the EC of the critical importance of a credible voters’ register for the December 7 elections and the need for an audit of the electoral roll and its IT system to identify vulnerabilities and effectively address the numerous anomalies.
