NPP drags NDC to shrines

The General Overseer of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, Last Sunday on GTV, exhorted members of his Church to intensify their prayers as the nation heads towards this year’s election.

Archbishop Duncan Williams said some powerful elements in society are seeking the blood of some successful men and women in Ghana to pacify some deities in the Upper West Region to win political power.

He did not however mention the name of any person or political party. But less than 24 hours after the renowned man of God’s revelation, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party in power, has been hit by series of strange but mystical tragedies that goes beyond ordinary understanding.

About a month ago, Mr Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Campaign Coordinator of the John Mahama Campaign team, was said to have complained of dizziness whilst on a political platform.

According to a family source, who spoke to The Tide, Mr Afriyie Ankrah had to be flown to a hospital in Accra for treatment.

The Tide gathered that the deputy minister was said to have been admitted for over two weeks and it took the intervention of some powerful men of God to bring the minister back to life.

As if this was not enough, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Korle-Klotey, Ishmael Ashittey was going round his campaign tour when he stumbled and fell.

NDC activists who accompanied the MP told The Tide that the MP did not sustain any injuries.

Few days later he complained of bodily pains and was rushed to the hospital and admitted.

At the time of going to press, Mr Ashittey, was still on admission with drips fixed to his hands, his condition is said to be very critical.

Last Saturday, the MP sneaked out of the hospital to address a political rally at Adabraka, a suburb of Accra where he narrated his ordeal to the teeming crowd.

On Sunday, November 2, 2012, Mr Booney Quist, NDC Constituency Chairman for Ledzekuku Constituency, woke up hale and hearty. By 12 noon, Mr Bonney Quist was pronounced dead.

In the same constituency, the aspiring Member of Parliament, Mrs Benedicta Sena Okitey-Duah, who was embarking on a house to house campaign, entered a house in the Constituency but she was prevented because the owner and the occupants were members of the NPP.

Mrs Okitey-Duah obliged but just as she was leaving the house she fell into a gutter and had to be carried on a shoulder home.

The next morning, her leg was swollen and her knee broken. Presently she is embarking on her campaign in clutches.

But the worst victim of this mysterious event hit one Roland, a leading member of the NDC Ledzekuku Constituency, who volunteered to carry the aspiring MP home.

Narrating his ordeal to the Tide in tears, Roland Armah said on the day that the aspiring MP fell into the gutter he told her supporters that they needed a left-handed person or a twin to massage her legs.

Being a twin himself he volunteered to massage the aspiring MP. This was the beginning of his woes. He told the Tide that two days later his legs got swollen and he couldn’t understand the cause.

He said he contacted a fetish priest who asked him if he has attended to a sick person for which he answered in the affirmative.

According to Roland Armah, the fetish priest revealed to him that his political rivals who wanted the aspiring MP’s leg amputated had drawn him into the political rivalry in the Constituency and so his leg can never be healed unless amputated.

According to him, he became afraid but after some rituals were performed, his legs reduced to normal.

Two weeks ago, it took the intervention of some leading pastors of the Action Faith Chapel, including Nicholas Duncan Williams to save the life of a leading member of the NDC who is said to be in coma in his residence on the Spintex Road.
